How to find us Map Details
By train: Nearest station is St Helens Central. Turn right out of the station into Shaw Street, walk to the end of the road, turn left and you will see the museum on the right across the car park. Approx 2 minutes walking time.
By bus: St Helens bus station is 2 minutes walking time from the museum. Go into Corporation Street and turn left at the large church into Hall Street.
By car: Follow the brown "Museum of Road Transport" tourist signs to Birchley Street car park. Walk along Birchley Street towards the Town Hall and turn left into Corporation Street in front of the Town Hall. Continue along Corporation Street past the theatre and the bus station up to the large church on the left, then turn left into Hall Street. About 10 minutes walking time. Note that the brown signs do not lead directly to the museum.
Alternatively, car parking is available on the Millennium Centre car park in Hall Street opposite the museum (ticket entry). On-street pay and display parking is available in Parade Street and Tolver Street next to the museum, and there is a pay and display car park in Tolver Street. Parking is free on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Cycles and prams can be parked in the museum.
